About The Project

The study of Neuroanatomy involves concepts that require dedication from students to fully understand and integrate. For this reason, the subject is often taught in stages in health-related courses — first as part of Human Anatomy and later as a standalone discipline. High-quality educational materials play a crucial role in helping students grasp these concepts, making learning more engaging and effective. The goal of this project is to create an Interactive Atlas of the Human Brain. The Atlas features labeled images of the macroscopic anatomy of human brains from the collection of the Department of Anatomy at the Institute of Biosciences. The images show all externally visible parts of the brain, as well as its internal structure through regularly spaced coronal sections.
